RCN.  He did his initial training in the Navy at Cornwallis and then to HMCS Athabascan and went to Korea in the summer of 1951. Its base of operations was Sasabo, Japan and patrolled and did escort and bombardment missions. The Athabascan returned home in 1952 and Clyde was drafted to Stadacona as a staff instructor for Officer Cadets. He was later drafted to HMCS Caribou in Corner Brook working with the reserve unit. Honorably discharged in Sep 1954

Born in Flowers Cove 18 Sep 1930, son of John (served in WW1) and Eliza. Grew up in Petries and sailed on the MV Corner Brook and MV Elg. Married Ruby Martin in Deer Lake on 20 June 1953; 5 Children. He worked at various jobs in numerous locations as a millwright.

Royal Navy; #277350. Went overseas with 15th contingent. Initial training on HMS Ganges and then served on HMS Pembroke 1, HMS Queen Elizabeth, Pembroke 111 and LST C5. Took part in the invasion of Sicily and Italy, Served in North Africa

Born 15 Feb 1918, son of John & Gertrude. In 1944 his dad was very sick with cancer at St. Anthony Hospital. He came home on leave to be with his father, but John died while he was traveling to St. Anthony. After the war he married Mary Park; 3 children. George fished for a living

 29 Jun 1951, initial training at HMCS Cornwallis & Stadacona. First duty on HMCS Magnificent. In 1953 joined the destroyer HMCS Iroquois & left for Korea in Apr. The home port of operation was Sasebo, Japan from which they did escort duty  on both sides of the Korean Peninsula. Returned to Canada in Jan 1954 and was posted to HMCS Cabot in Corner Brook, training reservist.  He was a quartermaster, trade level 3. Discharged April 1956 and returned home.

Born in York Harbour 9 Apr 1931, son of John & Gertrude. Married Stella Young at Stadacona on 4 Apr 1953; six children. On release he worked in the fishery and construction trade.
