Born in Templeman, Bonavista Bay and move to Jacksons Arm right after WW1.He married Minnie Easton from Greenspond, Bonavista Bay; 11 children. He worked as a steam engineer operator for Hunsell Brothers and in Logging, saw mill and shipping industry. He was very active in the community and helped out wherever the need;
