ROYAL Navy, #248018; went overseas with 13th contingent. Completed initial training at HMS Ganges, 1stship was HMS Bonluce Castle, base ship for home fleet which was later sunk at Normandy. Drafted to Motor Torpedo Boat, MTB and served most of the war in the Mediterranean.

Born 25 Sep 1922, son of Joseph & Priscilla. Married Lillian Howard in England; four children. Returned to Lark Harbour where he fished for a living. Moved to Montreal in the Fifties and worked for a bank and later the Royal Victoria Hospital

Royal Navy, #220963. Went overseas with 11th contingent. Completed initial training on HMS Ganges. He spent most of the war on destroyers protecting the North Atlantic convoys. He was also on several convoys to Russia. He was proud of the part his ship played as the helped in hunting down and destroying the Bismark.

Born 24 Aug 1919, son of Steven & Mary. ON return married Myra Sheppard 15 July 1945; 6 children. George worked numerous jobs, fishery, Dept of Highways, steel rigger in Toronto, lake boat crewman in Fort McMurray and in the mining industry

Royal Nfld Regt /WWI; was with Regt on July 1, 1916 Pte Robinson was wounded 3 times and after his wounds were dressed by a German medical corpsman, he lay on the battlefield until early morning of July 2nd. Also served in WW2 and Korean War.

Born 21 Dec 1894, son of William & Catherine. Started his sea career after WW1 and participated in two future wars as a deep sea Captain. He married Ruth Hynes from Sandy Point. After retirement returned to York Harbour
