The Peacekeepers

The Canadian Association of Veterans in United Nations Peacekeeping is an association of retired and serving Canadian military (Regular and Reserve), RCMP and civilian personnel who have served on United Nations Peacekeeping Missions. The Association also welcomes those who have served on other peacekeeping missions in which participation was sanctioned by the Government of Canada.

The Western Newfoundland Chapter of CAVUNP is located in Corner Brook.  We invite all UN Peacekeepers, past and present, in this region to join us.  Drop in for our regular monthly get-togethers at the club rooms of Branch 13, Royal Canadian Legion at 7 West Street in Corner Brook on the last Friday of every month.

Marking the Final Resting Places

The Western Newfoundland Chaper of CAVUNP, in collaboration with Corner Brook Branch 13 of the Royal Canadian Legion, has undertaken to compile a list of the final resting places of all veterans who are buried in Western Newfoundland and Larador.

We invite the public to join us in making sure this list is as complete as possible. Send the name and other information to the e-mail address at the bottom of this page.
